friends namaste ( khamma gani ) i am pramila singh and i welcome you all on my youtube channel pramila’s cook book friends today we are making mathri which we will be shaping in the form of cashew nut and it is very delicious to eat so let’s get started so let me show you all ingredients first this is clarified butter i will be using clarified butter for the moin which means it will be making our mathri more flakier and nicer you can also use oil in place of clarified butter but when you make sweet mathri then use moin of clarified butter only here i have 200 grams of maida ( VERY FINELY GROUNDED WHEAT FLOUR ) this is chaat masala here this is back pepper which i will be sprinkling on our mathri after crushing it these are carom seeds you can also make it plain if you don’t want to add masala on it you can simply add carom seeds in it but if you will add carom seeds in it , it will enhance the taste of it and we will be adding salt in it because we are making salty mathri or namkeen mathri this is oil here we will be frying our mathri in oil now i will be adding this 200 grams of maida in this bowl now i will be adding salt in it salt according to the taste don’t add too much of salt in it , balanced salt tastes amazing in it and now i am adding carom seeds in it many people make it like this only simple and plain but i am adding carom seeds in it and trust me once you will make it like this , you will always make mathri like this only i am adding little bit of it and f you don’t want to ad masala on it , then you can make it like this only now i am adding moin of clarified butter in it ( moin means by adding clarified butter like this will make mathri flakier and nicer ) and youy can also add oil also because we are making salty mathri not sweet one we will be frying this in oil i am adding 3 spoons of this now lets mix it nicely if you see that your dough is not preparing perfectly you can simply make it a bit wet with water and fry it in oil to see that it’s not breaking while frying and that way you can also check that salt is perfect in it or not you can also check like this , if we will take dough like this and if it binds then our moin is perfect in sweet mathri we have to keep an eye on moin because in that we also add sugar and that also makes dough softer i will be adding 1/2 spoon of clarified butter more in it now i will be mixing it nicely and make dough of it by adding little little water in it i will be making dough of it now you can see here i have prepared dough of it now i will be keeping it for rest for 5 to 10 minutes then we will make mathri of it now see this is our dough and we kept it for rest for about 5 to 10 minutes once again i will take dough and do it like this now i will take chunks of it like this now i will roll press it don’t make it too thin and we will be cutting it in the form of cashew nut now this is how you have to roll press it now i will cut it in the shape of cashew nut take any normal cap of bottle press it like this on any corner of it first and take this circle out now from this cut portion now cut like this while pushing only half part of cap in the dough like this see how easily we have made this in the shape of cashew nut you can also use smaller bottle cap see like this we will be cutting it see we have cutted in the shape of cashew nut see i have cutted all in the shape of cashew nut and now i will be frying these in oil i have turned on the gas and placed woke on the gas and filled oil in it or oil is now heated so i have set the flames on medium take these mathri while shaking it a bit , this way these won’t stick to each other now adding these in oil to fry if some of these get sticks don’t worry while frying these will detach automatically these are very easy to fry if you fry these in larger quantity then also these get fries very easily stir a bit like this so that if some of these gets stick to each other gets separated this way now you can see here our mathri has turned into light brownish in color we dont have to make it too dark in color now i will take all of these out now i will fry all of these in the same manner so friends our mathri is ready now i will sprinkle some masala on it now and you can also keep it plain and simple now i will make it a bit tangy by adding masala on it in my one hand this is crushed black pepper and in the other i have chaat masala and we will be not adding salt on it because we have added in it and it’s perfect and if you have less salt in it then only sprinkle some salt now sprinkling some chaat masala on it and little bit of black pepper and now mix it nicely like this now we have mixed our masala nicely so now our mathri in the shape of cashew nut is ready this mathri is very delicious to eat and we made it in the shape of cashew nut and also added masala on it and when you will make it everyone will love it you can also make it like a snack so do try this recipe and share this recipe
